1. Frequent fatigue and lack of energy

Healthy kidneys produce a hormone known as erythropoietin, which plays a key role in the production of red blood cells – red blood cells that carry oxygen and nutrients to all organs of the body. When the amount of erythropoietin decreases, red blood cells also decrease, and this leads to easier fatigue of the muscles and brain structures. For this reason, often patients with kidney disease complain of a lack of energy for daily activities.
